Early mornin temps range from 30-50 degrees in June. Mid morning and afternoon temps can reach into the 80s. Please plan for any and all weather conditions.

All participants will be equipped with a timing chip, which must be worn at all times on the race course. Chips are specifically assigned to your race number and will be provided when you pick up your race packet.
Parking will be available near the start/finish line at the Morgan County Fairgrounds. Please park in designated areas and follow parking volunteers instructions. Please carpool if possible as parking space is limited. Traffic in and out of the venue will be limited as to not obstruct runners on the course.
Your packet pickup bag is also your Clothing drop bag. There will be a designated drop area at the start line. We will take all the bags that are in the drop area to the start. We cannot guarantee the safety/security of your gear bags.
All aid stations will be equipped with water, electrolyte replacement drinks, gels, and other endurance treats. Aid stations will be every other mile beginning at mile 2 for the marathon and half marathon. The 10k and 5k will have 2 and 1 aid station respectively.
The Morgan Valley Marathon races are not on closed courses, and are open to automobile traffic. PLEASE USE CAUTION while running. There will be signs, mile markers, arrows, volunteers, and police officers to assist you in staying on course. HOWEVER, it your responsibility to know the course. We encourage you to drive or bike or jog the course in advance to familiarize yourself with the course and terrain.
This is a USA Track & Field sanctioned event. All USA Track & Fiend road running rules apply to these events. Please visit www.usaf.org for more information.
Headphones are not recommended, but hey, we understand some enjoy listening to music while running. Please keep volumes down so that you can hear volunteers , officials, and oncoming traffic.
The tradition continues with the 100th runner receive $100 bucks! Finishers will receive a sweet MVM finishers medal, AND a souvenir 10th anniversary pint glass. Finish line activities will include awards ceremony, post race food and drinks, raffle, massage, and medical assistance. Only race participants are allowed in the finish-line area.
Overall Awards will be distributed as follows:
MARATHON: 1st Place Male & Female: -$250, 2nd Place-$150, 3rd Place-$100
HALF MARATHON: 1st Place Male & Female: $200, 2nd Place-$100, 3rd Place-$50
Age Groups Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female in the following categories:
14&under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90&up.
If there are less than 75 people in a race, then awards to the top 10 overall will be given in lieu of age-groups. (Age group winners will still be recognized)
The Marathon has a 7 hour time limit.
The Half marathon has a 3 1.2 hour time limit.
The 10k has a 2 hour time limit
The 5k has a 1 hour time limit.
